"The provision of safe drinking water is a key driver of public health and a pressing health issue facing First Nations communities in Canada. Despite numerous government assessments, training initiatives and billions of dollars in targeted funding, accessibility of safe drinking water has been and continues to be, a perennial problem in First Nations communities nationwide.
